Inspection & Assessment
During Steamatic by Carrara's thorough Mold Inspection Service, we consult with you, your insurance company and indoor environmental professionals to assess ambient conditions such as moisture content and humidity levels to determine:
- The cause of the problem
- Scope of Work necessary to remediate
- An estimate for mold and mildew removal
Health & Safety Precautions
To prevent the spread of mold spores and microbial fragments, containment barriers are constructed to seal off unaffected areas of your home. These affected areas are placed under negative pressurization with HEPA filtration to remove spores that become airborne during the mold removal process.
Affected Contents are Removed and Cleaned
Contents from affected areas will be sealed and delivered to our cleaning and restoration facility for cleaning. Articles will be inventoried and recorded, and then returned to your home once mold remediation services are completed.
Environment Stabilization
As needed, a mold remediation specialist will first stabilize the environment to control moisture levels. Heavy mold growth areas will be cleaned, sanded and vacuumed using HEPA filtration to remove mold spores and fragments.
Air Systems Tested and Cleaned
If microbial growth is on a non-porous surface within your air system, our mold removal experts will use proprietary equipment to clean and treat the system with an anti-microbial solution.
Clearance Testing
Once the areas have passed environmental testing, your home is ready to be turned over to a general contractor for reconstruction.
